It’s 3D print time!

The mechanical team have been hard at work figuring out how to embed the interactive screens within our lighthouse. This is a rather challenging task, on account of the fact that the screens are flat whilst the lighthouse walls are curved. As a result, Mark and Pawel have created a CAD design for some bevels that attach to the screens whilst also curving around so that they sit flush with the lighthouse walls.

You can see the CAD design below – the green regions show the supports that allow the print to be built up in layers without collapsing.

Unfortunately, each bevel takes ~10 hours to print, so it’s going to be a while before they’re all done.

    Things i have seen in terms of pc memory is there are specs such as SDRAM, DDR etc, that must fit in with the specs of the mother board. If the computer’s motherboard is rather current and there are no operating-system issues, updating the ram literally takes under an hour or so. It’s on the list of easiest personal computer upgrade procedures one can think about. Thanks for discussing your ideas.
